Warren Buck
Growing up in the college town of Ithaca, NY allowed Warren Buck to develop an appreciation for the value of life-long learning. With the value of an education in mind, Warren moved to Gainesville, FL to attend the University of Florida. From there, his path took him to south Florida to pursue a career in the culinary arts as a chef at some of Florida's best-known restaurants. Though cooking seafood was a great learning experience in many ways, it left Warren feeling like he had to offer the world something more than he had been. The field of education called Warren to service in 2006, and after a year cutting his teeth as a substitute in Cobb County, he was hired at J.E. Richards Middle School in Lawrenceville, GA where he has happily been teaching 8th grade Language Arts. A finalist for his school's Teacher of the Year award in his second year, Warren brings a high level of enthusiasm and a strong belief that anything is possible to the KIPP STRIVE family. In his spare time, Warren is an avid reader who also enjoys spending time outside with his dog and friends.
