
Daryl Edwards
Daryl Westfield Edwards, a native of Boston, MA, is currently Program Coordinator and Youth Advocate at the DeKalb County Juvenile Court. Since earning a baccalaureate degree in finance at St. John's University in New York, Mr. Edwards has served on the Board of Directors of the Eliot Elementary Academy in Roxbury, MA and founded the Eliot Youth Enrichment After-School Program. Daryl Edwards' professional experiences include coordinating the development and partnerships office of the Boston Renaissance Charter School. In that role, he fostered relationships with business, political, religious, and activist community leadership to present the school's value and position it for support. He has also directed and organized day, weekend, and summer camps and programs for urban elementary-aged students in Metropolitan Boston. He has created elementary curriculums ranging from financial management and foreign language to literacy collaboration and piano instruction. Mr. Edwards' passion for mentorship led him to work in Student Services at Morehouse College. He is also a lifetime member of the Concerned Black Men of Massachusetts. Daryl Edwards brings a deep commitment to the philosophy at KIPP STRIVE and a dedication to providing exceptional educational achievement and outstanding lifetime contribution possibilities for KIPP STRIVE scholars.
