
Kenneth Mason
Kenneth Mason currently serves as a School Improvement/ Project Lead the Way Consultant for the Southern Regional Education Board. After receiving his physics degree and a Masters of Teaching, Mr. Mason taught for four years in Oakland, CA as a Teach For America Corps Member, continuing with TFA as a Corps Member Advisor in its Summer Training Institute. As a teacher with the civil rights education organization, Sojourn to the Past, Mr. Mason has worked with such noted civil rights leaders as Congressman John Lewis, Minnijean Brown-Trickey, Rev. Fred Shuttlesworth and Myrlie Evers-Williams. He has also has formed his own educational consulting organization that infuses standards-based curriculum with Hip Hop music and art along with a focus on community development and social justice. He brings broad background and expertise in education, school improvement, technical assistance, and data-driven instruction and student achievement to the work of designing KIPP STRIVE Academy.
