Gairy Moore
Mr. Moore is a senior audit manager with Deloitte & Touche LLP, global professional services firm. Mr. Moore is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Georgia, Connecticut and New York. He started his career with the Deloitte New York office after graduating from York College of The City University of New York with a BS in Accounting. His expertise includes audits of financial statements, ability to research technical accounting issues, and internal controls. Mr. Moore completed 2.5 years in Deloitte’s National Office Accounting Research Group located in Wilton, Connecticut, where he specialized in technical accounting research and authored sections of the firm’s accounting manual. He also authored training materials and as part of a global team. Mr. Moore also serves on the finance committee of KIPP WAYS Academy. Mr. Moore is committed to fair access to high quality education of Atlanta’s children and is passionate about mentorship. He served as a big brother with the Big Brother Big Sister organization. Mr. Moore’s dedication to educating Atlanta’s children and his deep expertise of financial statements will ensure that KIPP STRIVE Academy will have a robust system of internal controls over financial reporting.
